Maidu Elementary School enjoys a reputation as having a strong academic program with a capable,
caring staff and administration. Maidu School opened in December of 1996. The staff at Maidu is dedicated to student learning and the social growth of every child. There is a focus on professional development in academic areas as well as the social emotional well being of the students.
Maidu is a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school. The school explicitly teaches and reinforces the school rules and expectations across all school settings. In recent years, Maidu has attracted many students from surrounding districts. The number of inter district students requesting to attend Maidu continues to grow.
The Maidu staff and administration are dedicated to creating citizens who are academically successful and aware of their relationship with others.
